Part of my responsibility as a user experience designer at Channel 4 is for 4oD across all platforms and devices.
One of my first tasks was to deliver a refreshed user interface for 4oD on the .com platform.
Channel 4 is a commissioning organisation with a small internal UX&D team, and as such my role on this project was quite extensive. Ranging from working with external agencies to deliver the UX, organising and facilitating user testing.
Through to, delivering UX strategy and working alongside internal delivery teams to ensure the UX and art direction is thoughtfully executed in line with our vision.
The main things that changed were bringing the design in line with other areas of the .com site, highlighting certain features as a result of data analysis and including short form content.
